What I love about this piece
-
ʻOhana means family, and this piece really centers around that. The two honu are placed side by side, almost touching fins, which gives it a really quiet, sweet sense of connection.
-
I love the contrast between the two. One has a softer, almost milky green tone, while the other is more defined by the crystalline geode at its center.
-
There’s also a mix of textures throughout, with natural sediment left along the edges against the polished surfaces, which gives the piece more depth and character.
About agate
Agate is known for its natural banding and grounding presence, formed slowly over time in layered patterns that ensure no two pieces are ever alike. The preserved sediment along the edges offers a glimpse into the stone’s origin, while the geode center reveals its hidden crystalline structure.
Together, these elements create a composition that feels both organic and intimate.
This piece is truly one of a kind.
